Hola!

Bienvenidos a nosso blog de travel en America del Sur! Kristen and I are having a blast so far. We live in Providencia, a barrio in Santiago. We are both renting separate bedrooms from a very nice lady named Susana.

We flew in to Santiago yesterday morning. Kristen had a fun run in with customs over her Atkins granola bars. Apparently the chocolate in them is very 'dangerous', but our 'amigo' saved us from a $400 fine. Riigghht.

Yesterday afternoon we unpacked and got our bearings. We went out that evening with some friends from school, Adam Anderson, Colleen O'Donnell and Soniya Vaidya. We found a nice little restaurant and had dinner there. The food here has been decent so far.

This morning we woke up early so we could be to our spanish classes by 9AM. We learned a lot in a short 3 hours. We should be speaking very well after the end of our trip here.
